A.M. No. 88-12-3304-RTC. - Re: Request of Hon. Celedonio B. Sitoy, Municipal Mayor of Cordova, Cebu. � Acting on the (a) letter of Mayor Celedonio B. Sitoy, Cordova, Cebu, dated July 19, 1988, requesting that all cases coming from said municipality triable by the Regional Trial Court be heard at the Regional Trial Court of Lapu-Lapu City instead of at the Regional Trial Court, Mandaue City for the benefits of litigants coming from Cordova; (b) 2nd Indorsement of Judge Teodoro K. Risos, Regional Trial Court, Branch 27, Lapu-Lapu City, interposing no objection to have cases coming from the Municipality of Cordova tried in his sala; (c) 2nd Indorsement of Judge Jose D. Canseko, 8th Municipal Circuit Trial Court, Consolacion-Cordova, recommending that all cases coming from the Municipality of Cordova, triable by the Regional Trial Court, be tried by the Regional Trial Court at Lapu-Lapu City instead of the Regional Trial Court at Mandaue City; (d) 2nd Indorsement of Judge Mercedes Gozo-Dadole, Regional Trial Court, Branch 28, Mandaue City, reiterating the same observations made by Judge Canseko; and (e) Resolution No. 130-A of the Sangguniang Bayan of Cordova, reiterating the previous request that all cases from the Municipality of Cordova, cognizable by the Regional Trial Court be heard by the Regional Trial Court of Lapu-Lapu City instead of the Regional Trial Court at Mandaue City, the Court Resolved to (a) GRANT the request of Municipal Mayor Celedonio B. Sitoy that cases arising from Cordova be tried by the Regional Trial Court, Lapu-Lapu City; (b) CIRCUITIZE the Municipality of Cordova with the Municipal Trial Court in Cities at Lapu-Lapu City; (c) CONSTITUTE the Municipality of Consolacion as a separate Municipal Trial Court presided by Judge Jose D. Canseko and (d) AMEND Administrative Order No. 7, dated February 11, 1983 to read as follows:

"4. Branches XXVII, with seat at Lapu-Lapu City - comprising LAPU-LAPU CITY, the island of Olango and the municipality of Cordova.

4-A. Branch XXVIII, with seat at Mandaue City � comprising Mandaue City and the Municipalities of Compostela, Consolacion and Liloan"; and

(a) upon approval of the submitted recommendations, there is a need to indicate which court will now take cognizance of the cases arising from and/or pending trial in the Municipalities of Consolacion and Cordova affected by the re-definition of the territorial areas of the Regional Trial Courts of Lapu-Lapu City, Branch 27 and Branch 28, Mandaue City, to wit: (a) cases arising from the Municipality of Consolacion shall continue to be heard by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 28, Mandaue City; and (2) cases arising from the Municipality of Cordova shall be heard and decided by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 27, Lapu-Lapu City.
