G.R. No. 198106: PEOPLE OF THE PHILIPPINES v. SAMUEL FABI y BADIDLAS
After a careful review of the records of the case, the Court finds no reversible error in the assailed Decision. However, the Court increases the award of exemplary damages from P25,000 to P30,000 pursuant to prevailing jurisprudence.
WHEREFORE, the Court ADOPTS the findings of fact and conclusions of law in the 23 February 2011 Decision of the Court of Appeals in CA-G.R. CR-HC No. 04096 finding appellant Samuel Fabi y Badidlas guilty beyond reasonable doubt of the crime of murder and AFFIRMS said Decision with the MODIFICATION that the award of exemplary damages is increased from P25,000 to P30,000, pursuant to prevailing jurisprudence.
