[G.R. No. 194853 : September 14, 2011]
SONIA BAGTANG v. PEOPLE OF THE PHILIPPINES
G.R. No. 194853 (Sonia Bagtang v. People of the Philippines) - Petitioner, on 12 August 2011, timely filed her Motion for Reconsideration of the 01 June 2011 Resolution denying her petition. In the said motion, she argues that she could not have complied with the requirement of a current identification card bearing her photograph and signature, as there is no such identification card issued by the Correctional Institution for Women, where she is presently confined. She proffers no other argument than this.
The Motion for Reconsideration is denied. Bagtang's Petition for Review on Certiorari was earlier denied not solely on the basis of her non-compliance with the requirement of presenting a current identification card before the swearing officer. The Court had also reviewed the substantive merit of her petition, but found it lacking. Likewise, the present motion offers no substantive argument and should thus be denied.
WHEREFORE, finding no substantial argument in the present motion, the same is hereby DENIED. No further pleadings will be entertained. Let the entry of judgment be made in due course. Reyes, J., on leave; Del Castillo, J., designated additional member per S.O. No. 1077.
Very truly yours,
MA. LUISA L. LAUREA
Division Clerk of Court
