RE: REQUEST FOR THE DESIGNATION OF AN ADDITIONAL FAMILY COURT IN ANTIPOLO CITY.

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of the Court En Banc dated June 10, 2008
"A.M. No. 08-5-256-RTC.- Re: Request for the Designation of an Additional Family Court in Antipolo City.- Acting on the Letter dated January 11, 2008 of Judge Ruth C. Santos, Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 72, Antipolo City, the Court Resolved, upon the recommendation of the Office of the Court Administrator, to
"A.M. No. 08-5-256-RTC.- Re: Request for the Designation of an Additional Family Court in Antipolo City.- Acting on the Letter dated January 11, 2008 of Judge Ruth C. Santos, Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 72, Antipolo City, the Court Resolved, upon the recommendation of the Office of the Court Administrator, to
(a) GRANT the request of Judge Santos for the designation of an additional family court in the RTC of Antipolo City;Austria-Martinez, Carpio-Morales and Nachura, JJ., on official leave.
(b) DESIGNATE RTC, Branch 73, Antipolo City, as an additional family court in the RTC of Antipolo City; and
(c) OBSERVE the following guidelines in the unloading of cases:(i) RTC, Branch 73 shall continue hearing and deciding cases pending in the said sala where trial has already begun. For this purpose, trial has begun when the accused or any of the accussed in a criminal case has been arraigned or when the pretrial stage is terminated in civil case;
(ii) All cases pending in RTC, Branch 73, where trial has not yet begun, shall be transmitted to the Office of the Clerk of Court for raffle among the regular courts;
(iii) All newly-filed family court cases shall be raffled to Branch 73 until such time when the number of cases assigned is equivalent to the cases it has transmitted to the Office of the Clerk of Court. Subsequently, all newly-filed family court cases shall be raffled to Branches 72 and 73 on a 2:1 ratio as follows: two (2) newly-filed cases to RTC, Branch 72; and one (1) newly-filed case to be raffled to the RTC, Branch 73 until such time that the family court cases assigned to RTC, Branch 73 are equal to the family court cases assigned to Branch 72;
(iv) The Executive Judge shall see to it that equitable distribution of cases is effected; and
(v) The guidelines set forth in the Resolution dated February 1, 2000 in A.M. No. 99-11-07-SC (Re:Designation of Certain Branches of the Regional Trial Courts as Family Courts), shall be observed in so far as applicable."
